The St. Boswells Parish Community Council would like to thank Mr J.D. Smith, historian, of Earlston, and Mrs E. Drummond for the research and development of these biographies, each bringing their particular knowledge and skills to the task.  The assistance and encouragement of staff at the Heritage Hub in Hawick and the local library service was much appreciated, as was the technical expertise of Mr A. Drummond, former Secretary of the Community Council.
